About AIChE

The American Institute of Chemical Engineering (AIChE) was formed in 1908 to accommodate the new field of chemical engineering.  The vision of the organization is to be the global leader of the profession, lifetime center for professional and personal growth, and security, and the foremost catalyst in applying chemical engineering expertise to meet societal needs.  Our local chapter’s vision will be to provide services and knowledge to its members to further the chemical engineering field and assist members in their careers.

This institution meets biweekly throughout the academic year bringing in research and industrial speakers, professor engagement, innovative design competitions,  and other social, educational, and professional development tools. The local chapter also provides a platform for peer interaction between different classes in an effort foster the trait of networking in both a social and professional environment.
