Join the UC community in celebrating winners of the 2013 Black History Month Essay Competition! Three winners of this competitive essay competition will deliver their essays as keynote addresses to commemorate the close of Black History Month at the University of Cincinnati. This event is free and open to the public, and for more information on scholarship competition guidelines, please see below.
Scholarship Announcement: The University of Cincinnati invites all high school students currently enrolled at a Cincinnati Public Schools institution to compete in a scholarship essay competition in honor of Black History Month 2013. Three winners will be selected (second runner-up, first runner-up, grand prize winner) and invited to deliver their essay as a Black History Month keynote speech at the University of Cincinnati on Friday, February 28, 2013. Each winner will receive a generous, non-renewable scholarship (as outlined in the scholarship description) to support the cost of attending the first year of college. The check will be issued to the college where student enrolls upon graduation from high school. APPLICATION DEADLINE FEBRUARY 15, 2013
