We are excited to present this report of Student Government’s accomplishments and partnerships from the 2012-2013 academic year. In this report we showcase a snapshot of the breadth of activity of members of Student Government. At its core, Student Government’s mission is to promote the general welfare of the student body. We provide representation for over 31, 700 undergraduate students across all of the University of Cincinnati’s campuses. We believe that in order to truly represent our constituents, we must be accessible. Every day Student Government members connect and engage with our diverse student body.

Student Senate is the legislative body of our organization, comprised of two senators from each college, eight at-large senators representing all students, and variety of additional representatives. This body meets weekly on Wednesday at 6:00 PM in 425 Tangeman University Center to deliberate over issues affecting our students. Additionally, Student Senate allocates financial support to various student programs and initiatives.

Cabinet is comprised of appointed representatives from all special interest areas of our university. By engaging with our diverse constituents on a daily basis, Cabinet ensures that Student Government remains an engaged and relevant organization. Cabinet frequently plans and executes programming and initiatives to improve students’ lives.
