The Great American Smoke-out

The Great American Smoke-out is this Thursday, November 19th from 12 PM - 2 PM in front of TUC.  Members of Colleges Against Cancer will be tapping off a 25 foot perimeter to emphasize the smoking ban near campus buildings.  There will have a poster for people to sign pledging to quit smoking and "quit kits" will be passed out.

SGA Supports Mitch's Mission

UC Football and Student Government Unite Behind Mitch’s Mission 

CINCINNATI –“There are some things in the world that are bigger than football,” says University of Cincinnati (UC) football Head Coach Brian Kelly concerning Mitch’s Mission. The UC Football Team and Student Government (SG) have joined forces to support 11 year old cancer patient, Mitch Stone, by taking donations of $3 for red, white and blue wrist bands to help Mitch’s family tackle medical costs and visibly support one of the Bearcats greatest fans.

 

SGA Welcomes New President

The Student Government Association (SGA) would like to sincerely congratulate and welcome President Williams to campus for his first day at the University of Cincinnati (UC).

SGA looks forward to cultivating a strong and meaningful relationship with President Williams.  We will work hard to empower students and assure their representation with the new President in all affairs.  SGA is excited for the opportunity to work with President Williams and is eager for his time at UC to begin.

Is Cincinnati on the Right "Track"?

CINCINNATI –On Wednesday, October 21, 2009, at 2:00 pm the University of Cincinnati (UC) Student Government will be hosting an on-campus debate about issue 9—the anti-rail legislation. Mark Miller will be representing the Coalition Opposed to Additional Spending & Taxes (COAST) who is in favor of the referendum and Roxanne Qualls from Cincinnatians for Progress will argue the counter. The debate will take place in Tangeman University Center’s (TUC) Mainstreet Cinema. Wednesday’s debate is free and open to the public.

President Lolli’s Advanced Student Ticket Package for the 2009-10 Football Season Sells Out

In Spring of 2009 President Tim Lolli headed a venture between Student Government, RallyCats, and UC Athletics to develop plan that would garner greater support for UC athletics for the upcoming school year following such a stellar year for UC sporting events. Loss of free student tickets, confusion around student ticket policies, and overall school spirit were some of the concerns from the adjourning parties. After a string of meetings between student leaders and UC Athletics the Advance Student & Guest Ticket Season Ticker Package was developed.
